Nesta Wyn Ellis

Nesta was already known to readers of the national British newspapers when she became a journalist writing from Africa about political and human rights issues in THE GUARDIAN.  She became the political correspondent for HARPERS AND QUEEN, and was a frequent contributor of humorous reportage to PUNCH, and of political commentary and other features for THE TIMES, DAILY TELEGRAPH and other newspapers.



She is noted for her psychologically revealing profiles of the internationally famous for the colour magazines of THE SUNDAY TIMES, THE DAILY TELEGRAPH, THE SUNDAY MIRROR, THE PEOPLE, THE MAIL ON SUNDAY, WOMAN'S JOURNAL and others. Her work is syndicated world wide.

In Africa, Nesta met and married a distinguished American, then lived on three continents before settling into a transatlantic commuter lifestyle between Washington DC and London.

Nesta is an experienced broadcaster, a veteran of TV chat show appearances with the likes of David Frost and of special shows built around herself or her books. Following JOHN MAJOR she has continued her appearances on the small screen.


Recently she has been featured in the DAILY TELEGRAPH, DAILY EXPRESS, DAILY MAIL, THE INDEPENDENT, THE SUNDAY MIRROR and THE SUNDAY TIMES, BBC radio and TV and as the subject of a CHANNEL FOUR TV documentary about her life in Paris.



Further literary, and dramatic works are in the pipeline. But also a whole new world of MUSIC in which Nesta is also developing a totally new talent as a singer, lyricist and composer and a new stage name as YZABEL.

Nesta moved to Paris in 2000. There, she developed a new voice in fiction writing, expanded her new work as a singer and composer of English and French ballads and jazz songs and developed a new vision as a screenwriter with a novel and screenplay duo entitled THREE DAYS IN SEPTEMBER. She has also adapted her best selling novel THE BANKER’S DAUGHTER for the screen. She is currently working on the pre-production of THREE DAYS IN SEPTEMBER and on the orchestration of songs and other music for the film.

She has edited and published four novels on Amazon Kindle with her publishing imprint LIONESS BOOKS (see Books and Boutique page)
